Climbing in Manali

Opposite to what you might think in Manali you can find different kinds of rock climbing. For bouldering you have areas such us Vashists, Solangnala, Aleo and Old Manali whit grades from 4 to 8a. If you prefer sport climbing your places are Aleo, Vashist or Chichoba, grades from 4 to 7a. You wild find also another places for climbing around Manali such as Chhatru which offers trad climbing too. Old Manali

In Old Manali it is possible to find pretty good bouldering.

Start at Manu temple an go left, there is a path, follow for 1 hour an you will arrive to Galamlang. You will find and obvious bouldering area, shepards live there and there is the possibility of sleeping in a couple of caves also you can carry your own tent.

You will find up to 80 different problems grades ranging from 4 to 7c.
